ARTÉ Studio was founded in 2012 by Aria Mehta with a simple conviction: that the best interior design begins not with a visual concept, but with a conversation.
Over the past decade, we have grown from a single-person practice in New Delhi to a studio of twelve designers working across three offices — but our fundamental approach has not changed. We still begin every project by asking what the client actually wants to feel when they walk into a room.
Our work spans private residences, boutique hotels, restaurants, and corporate environments. What connects them is not a recognisable visual style — it is a commitment to spatial intelligence, material honesty, and the kind of craft that is felt rather than seen.
Founder & Principal Designer
Aria Mehta
Aria Mehta founded ARTÉ Studio after a decade of working with architectural practices in New Delhi, London, and Tokyo. She trained at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and holds a postgraduate degree in Interior Architecture from the Royal College of Art, London.
Her work is defined by a rigorous material intelligence, a sensitivity to Indian craft traditions, and an editorial restraint that refuses to mistake complexity for quality.

We select materials for how they age, not just how they photograph. Every surface, every texture is chosen for longevity and character.
Spatial Clarity
We resist the temptation to fill every corner. Negative space is as intentional as the objects it frames.
Site Specificity
Every project responds to its specific location — its light, its culture, its context. We design for where a space is, not where it could be.
Invisible Craft
The details that go unnoticed are the ones that matter most. We design the joints, the shadow gaps, the transitions — the invisible architecture.
